Welcome To
Funpredictable Edits
At Funpredictable Edits, we specialize in high-impact post-production and narrative-driven storytelling. Our workflow is built on the precision of DaVinci Resolve and open-source versatility, utilizing GIMP for graphic design across both Windows and Linux environments.
While we prefer the stability and color science of DaVinci, we pride ourselves on software agility. Having mastered multiple suites—including Adobe Creative Cloud, Filmora, and Clipchamp—we possess the technical adaptability to seamlessly integrate into any client’s pipeline. We prioritize the result over the tool, ensuring that your vision is delivered with technical excellence every time.”

Pricing:
1. Hourly Billing Structure I work on a Time & Materials basis at a competitive rate of $20 / hour. This ensures fairness for both sides: you only pay for the exact amount of work your project requires, and it allows us the flexibility to adapt the edit as the project evolves without renegotiating contracts.
- I provide a time estimate before starting, but final billing reflects actual hours worked.
2. The “3x Rule” for Estimates To help you budget correctly, please note the standard footage-to-editing ratio: For every 1 hour of raw footage provided, a minimum of 3 hours of editing time is required.
- Note: This 3:1 ratio is an optimistic baseline for simple cuts. Projects requiring heavy color grading, sound design, or motion graphics will increase this time investment.
3. Project Security & Deposits To secure a booking slot, a non-refundable deposit of 50% (based on the estimate) is required.
- Cancellation Policy: If a project is cancelled or “scrapped” by the client after work has begun, the deposit is applied to the billable hours already worked. If work exceeds the deposit amount, the remaining balance is due immediately.
4. Scheduling & Turnaround High-quality editing requires “fresh eyes” and creative precision. Therefore, I do not cram complex edits into unrealistic 24-hour windows.
- Active Hours vs. Calendar Days: Please note that a “10-hour edit” does not mean next-day delivery. It is scheduled over reasonable business days to ensure quality control.
- Rush fees apply for weekend or overnight turnaround requests.
